Nov. 20 11:05 AM PT12:05 PM MT1:05 PM CT2:05 PM ET7:05 PM GMT3:05 AM 北京时间-Delhomme was 19 of 42 for 227 yards and one TD and one INT on Thursday in a 24-17 loss to Miami. Analysis: Delhomme had gone three straight games without a touchdown before Thursday. He gets a chance to bounce back against the New York Jets on Nov. 29 - the first of two games at Giants Stadium for him with a trip to face the Giants set for Dec. 27.

Nov. 16 1:57 PM PT2:57 PM MT3:57 PM CT4:57 PM ET9:57 PM GMT5:57 AM 北京时间-Delhomme went turnover-free for the third straight game Sunday in a 28-19 win over Atlanta following 13 interceptions in his first six. He was 15 of 24 for 195 yards and two scores to Steve Smith. Analysis: Delhomme has been playing better, with Chicago's Jay Cutler taking over the league lead for interceptions. This should be a two-way battle that could be decided on the season's final day.

Nov. 9 1:54 PM PT2:54 PM MT3:54 PM CT4:54 PM ET9:54 PM GMT5:54 AM 北京时间-Delhomme was 17 of 30 for 201 yards without a touchdown or interception Sunday in the Panthers' 30-20 loss at New Orleans. Analysis: Even with the presence of Steve Smith, if you have Delhomme on your roster, you're probably not having a good fantasy season.

Nov. 1 3:16 PM PT4:16 PM MT5:16 PM CT6:16 PM ET11:16 PM GMT7:16 AM 北京时间-Delhomme threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith before leaving with a chest injury in the Panthers' 34-21 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday. Analysis: Delhomme went down on a big hit from the Cardinals' Chike Okeafor and Darnell Dockett with 5:59 left in the third quarter. He came back to play the next series but was replaced by Matt Moore in the fourth quarter.

Oct. 29 11:34 AM PT12:34 PM MT1:34 PM CT2:34 PM ET7:34 PM GMT3:34 AM 北京时间-Battered by a barrage of interceptions and ugly losses, Delhomme resembles anything but a Super Bowl quarterback these days. But coach John Fox, perhaps holding onto old, fond memories or because he has no better option, is gambling the beleaguered 34-year-old can regain his form despite a stunning 21 turnovers in seven games. Analysis: Delhomme's future, Fox's job and the Panthers' fortunes all depend on it. In Carolina, it's became Jake or Bust. "This is the same quarterback that a year ago led us to a 12-4 record and a couple years ago an NFC championship and a Super Bowl," RB DeAngelo Williams said. "Unfortunately, in this business you're only as good as your last game and we didn't play too well our last game. But my confidence has always been in Jake and will continue to stay in Jake."

Oct. 26 9:27 AM PT10:27 AM MT11:27 AM CT12:27 PM ET5:27 PM GMT1:27 AM 北京时间-Panthers coach John Fox is beginning to waver about Delhomme. But after another abysmal performance Sunday left Carolina 2-4 and Delhomme with an NFL-high 13 interceptions, Fox has begun to waver. He acknowledged Monday he's contemplating benching Delhomme in favor of either Matt Moore or A.J. Feeley. Delhomme threw for a season-high 325 yards and three interceptions in Sunday's 20-9 loss to Buffalo. Analysis: Fox indicated he'll decide later this week whether to play Matt Moore or A.J. Feeley ahead of Delhomme, who has an NFL-high 13 interceptions in six games. "I still believe Jake is our best quarterback. I have no reason to believe otherwise, truth be told," Fox said. "But collectively we'll do whatever it takes for us to improve. What that is I can't honestly tell you at this second."

Oct. 19 10:14 AM PT11:14 AM MT12:14 PM CT1:14 PM ET6:14 PM GMT2:14 AM 北京时间-Delhomme completed 9 of 17 passes for 65 yards and touchdown while getting picked off twice Sunday, but Carolina still managed to beat Tampa Bay 28-21. Analysis: Delhomme, who's 9-2 in 11 career starts against Tampa Bay, only attempted one pass in the winning drive _ a 4-yarder for Steve Smith's only reception of the game.
|
Oct. 12 10:26 AM PT11:26 AM MT12:26 PM CT1:26 PM ET6:26 PM GMT2:26 AM 北京时间-Delhomme's bootleg run for a first down on third-and-8 helped Carolina rally past Washington 20-17 on Sunday. Analysis: Delhomme still has only three TDs to go with eight INTs, but the Panthers feel the victory could jump-start a turnaround with games against struggling Tampa Bay and Buffalo the next two weeks.

Sep. 30 12:01 PM PT1:01 PM MT2:01 PM CT3:01 PM ET8:01 PM GMT4:01 AM 北京时间-Jake Delhomme has just two touchdown passes and seven interceptions, but he'll remain winless Carolina's starting quarterback. Analysis: Asked Wednesday if Delhomme was still his guy moving forward, Panthers coach John Fox left no doubt. Delhomme threw two interceptions and lost a fumble in the Panthers' 21-7 loss to Dallas Monday to drop Carolina to 0-3. The backups on the roster are A.J. Feeley and Matt Moore. Feeley was signed after the season opener when No. 2 QB Josh McCown was lost for the season with left knee and ankle injuries.

Sep. 21 12:35 PM PT1:35 PM MT2:35 PM CT3:35 PM ET8:35 PM GMT4:35 AM 北京时间-Delhomme completed 25 of 41 passes for 308 yards, one touchdown and only one interception in the Panthers' 28-20 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. Analysis: Despite the defeat, it was an encouraging performance from Delhomme, who had totaled 11 turnovers over his previous two games dating to last season's playoffs. Delhomme threw four picks and lost a fumble in a season-opening loss to Philadelphia, going 7 for 17 for 73 yards before he was pulled.

Sep. 14 9:34 AM PT10:34 AM MT11:34 AM CT12:34 PM ET5:34 PM GMT1:34 AM 北京时间-Delhomme is still Carolina's starter - even after 11 turnovers in two games. Analysis: Coach John Fox defended his beleaguered quarterback Monday, a day after he threw four interceptions and lost a fumble in the Panthers' 38-10 loss to Philadelphia. Pressured all game and making poor throws and decisions, Delhomme nearly matched his six-turnover performance in Carolina's blowout playoff loss in January. Fox pulled Delhomme after he threw consecutive interceptions in the third quarter Sunday.

Sep. 13 11:39 AM PT12:39 PM MT1:39 PM CT2:39 PM ET7:39 PM GMT3:39 AM 北京时间-Delhomme has been taken out after a miserable performance left him with 11 turnovers in the past two meaningful games. Analysis: Delhomme threw four interceptions and lost a fumble in less than three quarters Sunday against Philadelphia. With the Eagles leading 38-10, coach John Fox replaced him with Josh McCown, leading to a loud cheer from the Carolina crowd. Delhomme was 7 of 17 for 73 yards. His fumble was returned for a touchdown.Delhomme threw five interceptions and lost a fumble in Carolina's 33-13 playoff loss to Arizona in January.

Apr. 23 11:03 AM PT12:03 PM MT1:03 PM CT2:03 PM ET7:03 PM GMT3:03 AM 北京时间-The Panthers have signed Jake Delhomme to a five-year extension that keeps their quarterback under contract through the 2014 season. The move also gives the Panthers some breathing room under the salary cap, weighed down by Julius Peppers' one-year tender worth $16.7 million. Analysis: The extension comes just over three months after the 34-year-old Delhomme had the worst game of his career, throwing five interceptions and losing a fumble in Carolina's 33-13 loss to Arizona in the NFC divisional playoffs. But coach John Fox and general manager Marty Hurney had expressed strong support in the offseason for Delhomme, who has been the Panthers' starter since 2002.
